Reading Chair
High back, gently raked. Generous arm rest at book-holding height. Built to be sat in for two hours at a time without shifting.
Occasional chairs are the piece most often bought wrong. Standard scale is designed for a notional 175-cm-tall person on a notional 28-cm-deep rug. We ask your height, the rug, and the chair's purpose — reading? coffee? balcony? — before suggesting a silhouette.
Ottomans are decided last but mattered first to the room. A round one breaks up rectangular sofa lines; a long rectangular one extends a sofa into a chaise. We will sketch the room before recommending shape.

Curved continuous back-and-arm wrap. Looks formal, sits casual. Pairs around a low table for conversation seating.
Armless, low. For dressing rooms and the foot of a bed. Tighter footprint than any other lounge silhouette.
The classic. We build a modern proportion — lower wing, looser cushion. Looks heritage, sits like the year you are in.
Coffee-table-as-ottoman. Optional removable tray top for drinks. Tufted top or smooth; brass or timber legs.
Extends a sofa into a chaise. Same upholstery as sofa, or contrasting. Hidden storage available inside.
An armchair is usually cheaper than a small sofa per piece, but with similar materials. Approximate ringgit:
“I asked for a chair I could nap in. They asked how tall I was and how I slept. It is the only chair I have ever owned that does the thing I bought it for.” — Daniel S., private client, Damansara Heights
If the armchair is joining an existing sofa, send a photo. We will build to harmonise rather than match exactly — the room reads as considered rather than as a furniture set.
