Privacy Policy

Last revised: 14 April 2026

This page sets out how Zestplex Bespoke Sdn Bhd (Company Registration 1287456-W), based at Lot 8, Jalan Industri Damansara 12, 47810 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, handles personal information collected through the website at zestplex.pro and during the commissioning of bespoke furniture. We operate in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia.

What we collect

When you submit the contact form, we receive: your name, the email address you provide, optionally a phone number, the project category you select, and the text of your brief. If you reply to subsequent emails or visit the workshop, we may also note the address you would like a sample pack sent to and any dimensions of your room you choose to share.

If we proceed to a quote and build, we collect billing and delivery addresses, tax registration numbers where applicable, and signature on order forms.

The website does not deploy third-party analytics. We do use a single first-party cookie to remember your consent preferences and one anonymous session cookie for the contact form. Neither contains personal data and neither is shared.

Why we collect it

We use what you send to: reply to your enquiry; send a sample pack if you ask; quote, build and deliver a piece of furniture; service that piece during the guarantee period; comply with tax and bookkeeping obligations under Malaysian law.

We do not send marketing emails by default. If you ask to be added to the (very infrequent) insights mailing list, we will note that consent in writing and you can withdraw it any time by replying to the email or telephoning the workshop.

Who sees it

Within Zestplex, brief details are visible to the project lead, the maker assigned to your build, and the workshop foreman. Delivery details are visible to whoever is making the delivery. Financial details are visible to the bookkeeper.

We share information outside Zestplex only in three circumstances: with our freight contractor for inter-state delivery (name and delivery address only); with our accountant for tax filing; or where required by Malaysian law.

We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise transfer personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

How long we hold it

Enquiry data is held for 24 months from the last contact. Quotation data that does not become an order is held for 36 months. Delivered-order data is held for the duration of the frame guarantee (12 years on most pieces) so we can honour service requests, plus the statutory period required for tax records.

You can ask us to remove data sooner; we will do so unless we are required to retain it by Malaysian tax or contract law.

Cookies in detail

This site uses two cookies: zp_cc_v1 stores your cookie consent choice in your browser's local storage so the consent banner does not reappear on every page; and a PHP session cookie used solely to prevent cross-site request forgery on the contact form. Neither cookie tracks you across sites.

Detail on what each cookie does and how to disable them is on the cookie policy page.

Your rights

You have the right to ask what data we hold on you, to correct anything incorrect, to ask us to delete it (subject to retention rules above), and to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commissioner of Malaysia if you believe we have handled your data unlawfully.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject “Data request”. We aim to reply within five working days and complete any action within thirty days.

Changes to this page

If we update this policy materially — for example, if we add an analytics provider — we will note the change in the revision date at the top and, for active clients, by email. Routine wording tweaks may pass without notification.
